Hi everyone! I’m excited to (re)launch my personal Hi everyone! I’m excited to (re)launch my personal travel blog, anasthasiology.com ✨ Travel and writing are two things I’ve always loved. About a decade ago, during a career break, I started writing more about my travels. Then life got busy, work took over, and somewhere along the way, I stopped. I guess that’s just adult life. And now, I finally have the time and headspace to write again. I mostly travel solo and love taking things slowly when I can. I’m also always curious about local culture, traditional clothing, and experiences that are a little different from the usual tourist spots. So that’s what you’ll find on Anasthasiology: travel stories, little discoveries, things I’ve learned along the way, and practical tips I wish someone had told me before I went. I hope it inspires more people, especially women, to feel confident traveling solo, stay curious, and experience a little more of the places they visit. We really are just a tiny speck in this incredible We really are just a tiny speck in this incredible universe. ✨ Looking up at this sky, I couldn’t help but wish upon a star for better days for our country. So many difficult things have happened this year, and I hope everyone affected by the natural disasters across Indonesia gets the support they need to recover and rebuild.🤍 Seeing the Milky Way has been on my bucket list for a long time. This trip was actually supposed to happen last month, but it was cancelled because of a forest fire in the Bromo area. And on the night this photo was taken, there was another fire. This wasn’t even supposed to be our stargazing spot. We had to change locations because of the fire, and about 45 min after we arrived, smoke had already started covering the sky. Getting out of the area was honestly scary because the visibility became so poor. I feel incredibly lucky that I still got to see this beautiful sky, but the experience also made me think about how fragile all of this is. I really hope we can all be more conscious of how our actions affect Mother Nature. This world is such a beautiful place.
